Combination therapy: stimulation current & ultrasound
Combination therapy combines two proven methods of physical therapy - stimulation current and ultrasound - to create a synergetic treatment method. This combination provides intensive stimulation of the tissue and is used to reduce pain, inhibit inflammation and promote healing for numerous indications.
Combination therapy offers a number of convincing advantages that enable targeted, deep-acting and time-efficient treatment. The simultaneous application of different forms of therapy significantly increases the effect of the treatment, which not only shortens the duration of treatment but also improves the results. Particularly in the case of chronic pain syndromes, the improved depth effect ensures lasting relief of symptoms. In addition, the method enables targeted therapy of tissue that is difficult to access, which is often not possible with conventional approaches. These synergy effects make combination therapy a modern, effective approach in pain and rehabilitation medicine.
Stimulation current therapy: activation through electrical impulses
Stimulation current therapy uses electrical impulses to stimulate muscles, relieve pain and boost the metabolism. Depending on the type of current (e.g. TENS, EMS, interference), the treatment can have a toning, pain-relieving or circulation-promoting effect. The therapy is individually tailored to the symptoms.
Ultrasound therapy: Deep-acting micromassage & heat
Ultrasound therapy is a proven technique for the targeted influencing of tissue structures using mechanical vibrations. It is used as continuous or pulsed ultrasound with frequencies of 1 MHz or 3 MHz - depending on the therapeutic objective.
Its mechanisms of action include
Ultrasound gel is used for optimum sound transmission or, alternatively, treatment under water (subaqual), as air reflects sound.
